Field Improvements!!
We are working through improving our practice fields. One thing that has been requested for years is the port-o-potty! We are still working through getting the fences repaired and installed. Let us know if you would like to help.

Let's get Focused!
This past week has been a tough one for our community. The damage and devastation have been tough to see and, in some cases, hard to believe what has happened. But true to the Oklahoma standard, the people have rallied and taken care of one another.
Some of our M-Pact family members have been affected by the damages. It was great to see each team step up and take care of those that were in need with clothing, food, labor, tools, or whatever the families needed. That’s what makes M-pact Baseball special!
The question we start to ask, have we done enough? Or who else can we help even outside of our community and give back?

A few months ago, we held a coaches monthly meeting. We were talking about player development and other club wide items. How can we improve overall as a baseball community? What if we picked a few areas and focused on being exceptionally great in those areas and allow everything else to follow suit.
I put together five “Lanes of Focus” and presented the idea in our most recent coaches meeting. The events of the past week really emphasized how we can operate better as a community and make M-Pact even more special.
Here are the 5 Lanes:
• Player Development
• Fundraising/Event Planning/Service Projects
• Culture
• Field Maintenance
• Team Operations
We are looking for people within our community who want to help in some of these areas to make playing for M-Pact something more than just a team we play for.
Lanes like our Event Planning would be better aligned to take care of our members that need assistance like we have seen this week. There is no doubt, we have talented people within M-Pact who can do things at a higher level.
1 Peter 4:9-10
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
We each have been given special talents and gifts to share with one another. We have seen some great ideas and things coming from all of you and we would like to get more people helping M-Pact become a better community.
Below are links to videos explaining the overall ideas of each Lane of Focus. If you would like to join one of these areas, please contact me at 405-417-0062 or email at mpactbaseballok@gmail.com.

At Home Player Training
Something new for this week. We are spending more time focusing on our player development package. A big part of how well a player develops is what they do outside of our team practice times. We want to provide some ideas of things you can do with your player at home while making it fun for them.
This week is a Catch routine we have been using since 2020 with one of our teams. The previous year, we had way too many errors. We started implementing this in practice and we dropped our errors tremendously. Within this, your player has a catch, throw, and footwork component to each level.
Two Ways to Make Today Great!
Be Thankful - When you are grateful for the things in your life, big and small, you always seem to find more things to be grateful about.
Replace "Have to" with "Get To" - Live life as a gift, not an obligation. We GET TO, we don't HAVE TO. This simple shift can have a dramatic impact.
