2023 Fireworks Show!
Conversations have begun and the planning committee is getting to work to bring M-Pact and Magic the 2023 Fireworks Show at our fields on July 29th! To make this event a success, it will take all of us pulling on the same rope and putting together an event to remember. Last year was a blast and we expect this year to be even better. Except maybe we wont catch the outfield on fire this time! We will need vendors, items to auction and much more. If you are interested in helping in the planning please email mpactbaseballok@gmail.com

Joy in the Chaos
With everything M-Pact baseball has had going the last 2-3 weeks has felt like one long week!
I’m sure all of you are feeling that way as well with everything we have all been going through as a baseball family.
Feels a little chaotic!
Chaos creates complexity and confusion.
One of my favorite plays in baseball is a well-timed and well executed bunt for a hit. Catching the defense off guard and seeing the chaos that takes plays can change the entire game.

In our real lives, we can get so caught up in our own chaos that things start to feel dark. We start to feel like we are failing.
Sometimes though, those dark moments are what we need to grow not only as Christians but as people of character.
• Grapes must be crushed to make wine
• Diamonds are coal formed under pressure
• Olives are pressed to release oil
• Seeds grow in darkness
Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed or in darkness, you are in a powerful place of transformation!!
That darkness is the scary part. When we feel lost and nowhere to turn.
If you think of a shadow. A shadow is darkness, but what is creating that shadow? LIGHT! All we have to do is turn around and the light is right there!
1 Peter 1: 6-9
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Our faith in Jesus can pull us through any trial we might face because his glory is far greater than anything this world can through at us!
• The tough moments test our faith. Not God putting you to the test. It is helping to grow your faith.
• Our faith to God is more precious than gold because even gold melts under pressure.
A quote I want to leave you with today
“Mountain tops are for the views, but the fruit is grown in the valleys.”

Patrick Smith Memorial
Just Breathe Kid!
As most have heard or seen on social media, M-Pact Baseball lost a truly kind soul in Patrick Smith, a member of our Freshman 2026 team.
What we have learned through this trial is that people all around us are struggling with all different types of issues. Some with mental illness, depression, or just having an overwhelming sense of negative thoughts and dwelling in a dark place.

We began sharing Patrick's story a few weeks ago at a tournament with other teams. Not to glamorize the choice, but to bring awareness to a situation that we don't want any other kid to feel like they are caught in. Through sharing and showing compassion, we have been given testimonies from a few players on other teams that this story helps them on their path. One in particular said this story will forever be with him because he had the same thought a year ago.

You will see a sticker on our helmets to remember that there is always another choice. We want to remember our friend and brother but also his wish was to make sure other players have the opportunity to play for M-Pact and they know how much love this program showed him.

At Home Development
Stop over swinging!
In 2021, we had the privilege to have former Dale Pirate and 4 year college starter Dylan Lang on our coaching staff.
In this video, Dylan is explaining two drills your player can do at home off the tee to solve one of the biggest issues we are seeing in youth swings. Over rotation and pulling every ball or completely missing a good pitch. This will work on body control, barrel control and balance.
Final Thoughts
The Greatest Command
John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
