You have spoken!

We want to thank everyone that took the time to fill out our end of year M-Pact survey. This place has always been guided by us as a group. Our culture and our community are always going to be the core of what we do. This past year was great for M-Pact and the survey was a huge help for us as we make decisions moving forward.

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭9-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down,

one can help the other up.

But pity anyone who falls

and has no one to help them up.

We are the community!

One word we don’t like to hear when we talk about M-Pact and Magic is “organization”. When we started M-Pact in 2017, it was simply a place for kids to practice and try to do it in a positive manner. Once we started to grow organically, we realized we wanted this place to be a community of people building up one another to help navigate this journey of raising athletes with character.

As humans, we are wired to crave a sense of community. The past few years have taken some of that away from us and the effects have shown on some people. A recent study shows:

Having a strong support system helps people overcome challenges more easily and maintain a state of mental well-being. Human connection also decreases health risks and improves physical well-being and longevity. Strong social connections strengthen the immune system and increase your chances of a longer life by 50%

Even in the Bible, we are told that being there for one another is what God wants for us.

Galatians 6:2

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.

How does M-Pact maintain a sense of community?

Community is about relationships! Relationships are messy and not perfect, so people tend to remove themselves easily.

Growth comes from overcoming challenges!

1.Connecting with people isn’t going to perfect.

1 Thessalonians 5:14

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

  1. It's not One Sided! Relationships are not transactional, they are transformational.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

What does a positive community look like?

  • Mutual Care and Accountability – We need each other to grow.

  • Risky? – Yes! You must put yourself out there. People with differing opinions can do great things together!

  • Being present – Not just physically, its about investing in each other.

  • Being Active! – Take action, be intentional about your time together. Time is a valuable resource!

Shawnee Christmas Parade

The parade committee is already at work getting us ready for this years Shawnee Downtown Christmas Parade on December 13th. Sweatshirts can be purchased from the link below. If you would like to join us, please contact Jason Conley and he will get you added to the team.

We have been given many different testimonies of people within Shawnee that they really appreciated seeing M-Pact so represented in the parade and us showing our pride in this community. Please make sure you are a part of it this year.

Player Development Time

Winter Development

Over the fall season, we launched out Training Program for High School players. In addition to that, we offered a few sessions for the younger kids on Friday nights. For the High School ages, we tracked every single measurement we had access to on day one all the way up until the final day. The results were impressive!! Most players improved in EVERY category.

In response to the survey, we are bringing this to the Winter also! We have some great coaches involved including our own Eli Davis, Kade Self, Harley Sturm, and many others that made this program successful.

Winter will be a time your player is in other sports, but what we are going to offer can and should be applied to all sports, all while getting better at baseball too.

  • High School or Big Field Kids - Starting after Thanksgiving. Elite player development packages to improve all areas along with speed, mobility, and routines. 2 Days a week plus at home programing.

  • Middle School Kids - Starting in December. Learning how to move, building core strength, and learn proper mechanics on swings, defense, and pitching. Once a week.

  • Youth Kids - Similar to the middle school but more designed to help kids learn to move efficiently, swing with a purpose, and throw like you mean it! Once a week.

  • Private Lessons - We have some trainers here dedicated to make ball players! Eli Davis will offer pitching and mobility. Kade Self will offer Hitting and Catching. Harley Sturm is all things softball. Jason Conley will offer hitting, defense, and agility.
